Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People & Culture Manager to join our team. This will be a stand-alone position where the ideal candidate will be solely responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The People & Culture Manager will play a key role in recruiting, training, and retaining talent, as well as implementing policies and programs that promote employee engagement and organizational growth.

Role Responsibilities

  • Commitment to learn and apply Buntain Group business values 
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Team Leads in the recruitment and hiring processes , including building job descriptions, job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular training and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote career advancement
  • Assist the Payroll Administer and administer the RRSP and benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
  • Implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HR activities, including employee files and payroll information.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR management and implement changes as needed
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters
  • Assist with daily scheduling and vacation requests 
  • Oversee employee engagement and team building events

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources management. 
  • Strong knowledge of British Columbia employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies and programs that drive employee engagement and retention
  • Experience with HR systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • CPHR certification or working towards CPHR is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience using payroll software

What We Offer

The hiring range for this position is $80,000–$95,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
